I decided I needed a pause from sculpting triremes. It was always part of the plan to include freighters, because many wargame scenarios would certainly include convoys to be protected - or destroyed.
So I took inspiration from the famous Kyrenia shipwreck and sculpted a very small cargo vessel. You can see it below with trireme n.2, just to show the size.
I like it a lot! And this was the first try. Hopefully it will mould just fine even if it's so tiny.
Below, you see one of the rebuilt copies of the original Kyrenia, 3 were built. I think the general shape is quite similar - more or less...
I'll definitely need another, larger cargo ships, however, because this one is too small to represent the workhorse of a respectable merchant fleet.
